One year after the death of Danny Gatton a tribute concert was held in New York City at Tramps. Actually, it was the second tribute concert, the first was held a few weeks after he died. Norma Gatton, his mom, invited me to ride the train from Washington D.C. to New York with her. I worked it out to cover the concert for the Japanese publishing firm Rittor who prints Guitar Magazine . One of the many great guitarists there was Arlen Roth.

This shot was made downstairs in the dressing room. Arlen was warming up a little before going on. The second night of the two day show, we were all treated to a duet of Arlen and his teenage daughter, who has a band of her own. They played Not Fade Away and Who Do You Love? Everyone thouht it was adorable, and they sounded great.
