My intention is to only show what I've done with my Durst L184. I am not a factory trained Durst Technician. My enlarger was already in bad shape, as you will see in the Damaged L184 section. I had nothing to loose by making the decision to disassemble my enlarger. If you try the same things on your properly functioning L184, or any other version, you could get hurt badly and end up with a train wreck that cannot be repaired! That being said - let's continue.

Years ago I obtained, from eBay, a Durst L184 Parts manual. It has every part and the part number needed to build one of these beautiful machines. Whenever I think of it, if I show a photo of a part, I will try to include the part number in parenthesis. Later, I will build a page that has a big photo of the enlarger which will allow you to pick it apart to see each piece and it's part number.
